St Helier, 11:30: R 37 and R 38 entered from St Malo. On board were the Commander-in-Chief West, Generalfeldmarschall von Witzleben, with two officers of his staff; the Commanding Admiral in France, Admiral Schultze, with two staff officers; his Chief of Staff, Konteradmiral Litzmann; the Naval Commander, Channel Coast, Vizeadmiral von Fischel, with two staff officers; and the Naval Artillery Commander, Normandy, Kapitan zur See Fink. Their purpose was to inspect the Channel Islands.
St Peter Port: steamer H [overtyped number, apparently 8] sailed with two patrol boats.
