Secret. War Diary of the Convoy Control Office St Malo, 1–15 March 1942. Head: Korvettenkapitän Rall, acting Chief of the 2nd Patrol Flotilla. [Original title is in scan 0273; the facing leaf shows the reverse of another cover.]
Correction to the 28 February situation, point 1: B 113 S with a Siebel ferry was not taken because the weather report indicated heavy swell and sea.
Weather: southerly moderate to fresh breeze, overcast, poor visibility, slight to moderate sea. The requested convoys were carried out; the situation was reported to the 3rd Security Division.
Situation: V 208/V 213 entered St Malo at 10:30 and were ready. V 205/V 212 Alderney–Cherbourg with convoy, then ready. V 210/V 207 Granville–Jersey–Guernsey with the intended convoy, then ready Guernsey. V 209/V 211 entered St Malo about 19:00 and were ready. V 204 and V 206 boiler cleaning at St Malo. Escorted tonnage: 5,188 GRT.
Intention for 2 March: V 208/V 213 replenish coal and provisions St Malo. V 205/V 212 ready Cherbourg, degaussing-range passage and compass adjustment in the morning, Cherbourg–Alderney night convoy. V 210/V 207 ready Guernsey. V 209/V 211 St Malo–Granville without convoy, then Diamant and Rabat to Jersey and Hubbastone with troops to Guernsey. V 204/V 206 boiler cleaning.
