[PDF page 932] Seventh Army, position on 1 February 1944. Army High Command/Quartermaster General blocked stocks held in the Army area: 150 tonnes of ammunition; fuel and ration fields blank. In addition, 2,211 cubic metres of fuel are held as an Armed Forces High Command blocked stock (Führer reserve).

Notes: 1. Rifle grenade launchers are included under heavy infantry weapons; Granatbüchse 39 under antitank guns. 2. Units of issue were calculated from authorised weapon strengths; for antitank guns, tank guns and static weapons, from actual holdings. 3. Weapon totals include Army-type weapons of the Navy and Luftwaffe employed in coastal protection. 4. Army ammunition depot stocks were divided equally between “coastal defence” and “other troops”.
Fuel, vertical scale consumption units: Channel Islands 485 cubic metres, about 7 units; reserve panzer division 336 cubic metres, about 3.5 units; infantry division 242 cubic metres, about 3 units. Rations: daily rations/daily fodder rations; solid outline daily food ration, broken outline hard fodder, dot-dash outline rough fodder. Channel Islands approximately 90 days, coastal defence 55 days, other troops 10 days. Detailed stocks: A vegetables 60 days; B fresh meat and livestock 10; C canned meat and preserved foods for midday meal 45; D canned meat and preserved foods for evening meal 20; E evening rations excluding meat and sausage 26; F fat 41; G bread/baking material 84; H hard fodder including concentrated feed 81; I rough fodder 46. A–G combined average 60 days.
