Radio Beam Station

St Martin

The radio beam station was manded by the Pilitrupp of the Luftwaffe in November 1940. The site was manned by airforce troops who had been trained in radio beam direction and detection. This site was still visible in late aerial reconnaissance photos. The stations were dotted arround Europe and used by aircraft as directional aids. Each station had its own frequency and call sign.
